An exquisite Hoagy Carmichael fly rod
This rod comes from shortly after Tom Maxwell's tenure during the Larry Foster era
The terrific action is a bit slower and with more feel than most modern graphite rods
I particularly like the conception of the piece - "coming and going" - with one side of the hen fish painted bright to capture the incoming migration
