This was Lawrence's preferred title, but he eventually agreed to the alternative for later editions, on the understanding the original was retained as a subtitle. Renowned graphic designer Alan Lustig provides the cover art for this 1950s edition. Like much of his work, it is a graphic representation of Lustig's sense of the author's creative drive.
