The base features winged sun disc and lotus blossom motifs in relief on each side of the central thermometer housing. The domed glass cover encloses a copper toned dial face marked "Thermo Vane" with a temperature scale and pointer needle. Manufactured by Schaeffer & Budenberg, Brooklyn, New York. The underside is stamped with the maker's name, "Patented"
