Hardy Brass Face Perfect 2 1/2" 1896 Check 8'3" midge and shrimp andscud patternsFor sale here is very rare brass face Hardy Perfect wide drum fly reel 2 1 2" diameter with the early 1896 check. Full length original foot. Ivory handle spins freely. Stamped "1" throughout. As seen clearly in the photos, the reel has been repaired inside a new spring was remounted, as many of the springs on these early check reels were very fragile and broke. The repairs are very functional and the reel works great nice, tight reel.
