Im a big believer in Commander of if you want something done right, do it yourself, so I tend to eschew these more passive cards, taking them a lot later in my builds if I take them at all

It's pretty much a slightly worse Vampiric Rites, which is one of my go-to budget sac outlets: same cmc, same mana cost activation, same payoff, but Cauldron taps to activate so can't sacrifice multiple creatures per turn unless you have other ways to untap it
