絵唐津とは唐津焼の一種で、慶長以降、肥前各地で焼かれた、釉薬の下に鉄絵の具で黒、または褐色の絵や文様が描かれているものです。本品はいかにも茶入として作られた茶陶系の作品ですが、表面の釉薬が自然風化しカセ枯れの佇まいを呈しています。蓋をつけて、茶入としていかがでしょうか。

1時間程度水を張りましたが、漏れはありませんでした。酒盃以外にも、小花入としてもいかがでしょう。アルバレロ型。
