According to Disney Lorcana, Mickey Mouse was chosen both for the characters significance and to celebrate Disneys 100th anniversary

Mufasa is a high-cost card in terms of getting him onto the field, but his willpower of nine and his gaining you four lore anytime he quests would make a compelling case all on their own

According to a release, heres how the trading card game works: Players become Illumineers and wield magic ink to summon a team of Disney characters known as glimmers, who appear in both familiar and reimagined forms

Since you can exert a character with a cost of three or more to do it, you can keep your ink open to potentially cast any of the two cards you just drew
