The issue is that there is not enough of the generally playable one mana options for one person, let alone two people in the colour, not that there are not enough total to have black fully covered for its potential needs in the discard department

A Gray Ogre is just abysmal, and while it has a decent activated ability that can make it a 4/4 with Haste, I dont think this does enough to be saved from being a card you cut significantly more often than you play it
