Jill and Joshua both help out in this regard, with Jill acting as a way to slow down your opponent's onslaught, and Joshua helping you curate your hand by discarding dead cards in a given matchup to find cards that better suit your needs

I already loved steel - mostly for big Tinker Bell - and enjoyed pairing it with emerald in my own decks, which is a fun ink colour for anyone who doesnt like being challenged

There's some great cards in here that will be useful in your Rise of the Floodborn collection, particularly the Merlin and Madam Mim cards, but otherwise this is the least competitive deck you can get.
