That being said, unless this card breaks Standard open in the coming months, it wouldn't surprise me to see this card's value drift a little lower before it bottoms

A way to recognize that the downside is minimal is that if Ugins Conjurant is ever on the battlefield with fewer counters than it started with, Ugins Conjurant traded for more than one card and is hence card advantage

What makes the card not only playable but good, is playing it, gaining the life, and then giving it away to some unfortunate opponent
